Christmas Craft

Aunt Kamala helped all the kids make a cute reindeer out of their hands and feet! IT was such a fun activity considering the rainy weather outside! What a fun memory and a great tradition Kamala should do every year:)

Motorcycle Rides

They loved taking their turn riding Grandpa Don's motorcycle!

Porter's kindergarten Christmas Party

Porter was quite excited to have mommy, Jarom, and baby sister come to his Christmas Party at school. They got to eat yummy snacks and watch Charlie Brown christmas. Jarom thought it was sooo cool to sit next to brother and pretend he was at school too. Then we headed to Seth's class to see their Christmas party! I figured since I can't help in their classrooms this year at least I could go to the activities where the younger siblings are welcome!

Christmas at Dad & Lorie's

We were able to go down the Saturday before Christmas and stay the night with Lorie (dad was at the BYU game in Vegas with Aaron). The kids enjoyed going to Grandma Lorie's church and even got quite the gift from the primary teacher. We had the traditional big ham and turkey dinner with the yummy red cabbage. We opened presents- the kids can't wait to try out their remote control cars! We ate rice almonde and Austin was lucky enough to find the almond and win a prize! We played the grandkids favorite(and should I say us kids too) BINGO. It was better this year as the kids are getting older and able to follow along easier. What a fun time we had- we love the danish Christensen traditions!!

Kaymie's Blessing Day

Seth's Party

I can't believe we have a SEVEN year old! Wow crazy! He just couldn't wait for his party and loved his real football, cowboy boots, spiderman kite, and $20! Thanks everyone for sharing in his big day! Do you like the picture of Jarom blowing out the candles? I had to light them a few times so Seth could blow them out.

Polar Express

For Christmas this year Jeff's mom took all the kids and Grandkids to the polar express train ride! We had a blast despite the freezing weather. The kids enjoyed the hot chocolate and yummy cookies, singing carols, following along to the story, visiting the North pole, and seeing SANTA! What a fun memory we had all together!

Kaymie 3 weeks picture collage

Can you tell a difference?

Before picture
(Kaymie is just an added bonus to the purpose of me posting this picture)

The new me-- Jeff thinks I am hot and is loving my look. I've never gone dark before so it is taking some getting use to! Thanks to my sweet sister n law for doing it for me! It's kind of hard to tell in pictures but the red is still there, with some dark brown weaved in.

Do you like it?

The passing of Elder Wirthlin

I was so sad to hear that he passed away, but wow to live such an incredible life to the age of 91! I bet he is so happy to be with his beautiful wife again. I absolutely love loved his last talk from conference on laughing with life. I have read it a few times since it came out in the Ensign and Jeff and I have even read it together. So I have had several moments where I have had to put his advice into practice. Here is a picture of one of them.

Jarom strung the ENTIRE roll of wrapping paper thru the house. We had a good laugh at that one!
Here is another... don't try it at home.

I was in a hurry to get dinner in the oven before I picked the kids us from school. Later I heard the explosion and was able to get the rest of them out before they added to my funfetti decorated oven. Note to self- next time poke the potato's before you put them in the oven.

Secret Santa

So Porter's school has a secret Santa shop and he has been saving his pennies. Well today he convinced me to let him take his money to buy stuff so I helped him fill out the form of who to buy for and what the budgeted amount was! When I picked him up from school, the first thing he said when I asked how his day was, was "I bought me a lizard!" I had to laugh... ok so he is five and doesn't quite get that it is Christmas and you don't buy for yourself. BUT I had to give him credit because he did buy his brothers both a little gaget and another gaget to share... SO it must of been with his leftover money right HAHAHA. We are really trying to teach our kids about giving, especially as they get older. Porter got something for his brothers at the grocery store the other day and already told them what it is. Oh it sure makes me laugh,,, but I love the excitement in their eyes when they pick it out, when they wrap it, and when they tell them what it is:)
