5 completes us

Today I was able to hear the heartbeat for the third time this pregnancy! Although it came with a scare and an unexpected visit to the Dr.
Luckily/thankfuly everything is fine. I have been more on edge this pregnancy since the last one ended in miscarriage at 10 weeks.
Now I'm 14 1/2 weeks and the nausea still hasn't let up. Well I guess I'm not extremely nauseated in the middle of the night like I use to be. I hope that each day I wake up that the sickness will magically be gone. I can hope right :) I've never had the nausea last this long.
The kids are extremely EXCITED! Kaymie is determined it is a girl... that she will have a baby sister. I just want it to be healthy and have the pregnancy behind me. I am grateful this is the last to complete our family because I am so done with the sickness thing.
Due date is May 11th. I'm excited about having a baby at that time of year!

Kaymie's Princess Party

Kaymie has been talking about her princess party forEVer!!! She was really looking forward to it, especially for the surprise visit from Belle. It was so fun to see her excitement when her birthday finally arrived. Belle came and the look on the little girls faces was priceless. She read them a story and talked to them about how to be a princess. She taught them how to curtsie and twirl. She even helped Kaymie blow out her candles and open presents. Then she sang us some princess songs before it was time for her to go back to her castle with the Beast. What a fun unforgettable 3rd birthday for my little princess!

Porter's Baptism

Porter was baptized on October 8th and it was such a wonderful day for our family. All of the grandparents were able to come as well as the Bogdans and some close friends. Porter was very happy that the water was warm and that he didn't have to go under more than once. The spirit was so strong and we are so proud of Porter for the amazing kid that he is!

Porter's Golfing Party

On Porter's 8th birthday we took some of his friends to play mini golf. They had such a fabulous time and practically had the 18 holes to themselves. The only bad thing was the timing of the party and the BYU game traffic... oh well the boys really enjoyed visited and riding together. Porter is such a cute 8 year old and was really excited for his golf party. Can't believe he is 8!

Bridal Del Falls

Grandma Susan came for a visit and we went up to Bridal Dell Falls. The water was freezing!!! But it was hot so dipping your feet in felt nice. We took a picinic lunch and enjoyed the beauty of the falls.

Dinosaur Museum

The week before school started I took the kids to the dinosaur museum. Honestly I think the kids had more fun in the hands on kids center than in the actual museum. Guess they don't like to be told they can't touch things. We had a fun day together learning all about dinosaurs and fossils.

Lagoon

We decided we needed Daddy to take some time off of work so we could PLAY!
We had a blast at Lagoon and are excited to go back with the Bounceback next week.
The first ride we went on was Dinosaur Drop---- Seth was scared and Kaymie was laughing! Some of the kids favorite rides were Rattlesnake Rapids, BomBora, the Roller Coaster, and dinosaur drop. Jeff and I are hoping to go on the "big" rides more next week, although we will have to go separately :( It will be fun when the boys are ready for the "big" rides. Seth was just perfect height to still go on all of the little kid rides which was more his style and Kaymie was just big enough to go on some bigger faster rides. After getting off Bombora (a roller coaster) she said, "I like that one." It was such a fun day together! We are counting down till we get to go again.

Temple hopping

This summer we started a tradition of what we call temple hopping. We took the kids to all of the temples around us, each temple on a different Sunday. We would sing primary songs on the way and then walk around the grounds. We always had fun looking for the HOLINESS TO THE LORD imprints on the temple walls. Here are a few pictures of one of the temples. (Maybe next summer we can remember to take the camera to every temple.

My baby is growing up

This is how little Kaymie was when we moved here. I can't believe it's already been two years.

Here is her today.

Just when all seems to be going right, challenges often come in multiple doses applied simultaneously. When those trials are not consequences of your disobedience, they are evidence that the Lord feels you are prepared to grow more (see Prov. 3:11–12). He therefore gives you experiences that stimulate growth, understanding, and compassion which polish you for your everlasting benefit. To get you from where you are to where He wants you to be requires a lot of stretching, and that generally entails discomfort and pain.

Christensen Reunion

Thanks to my cousin Lisyl who planned and carried out such a fun family reunion. IT was so fun to see all of the family that we don't get to see very often.
We had a blast with the fun things planned: colored sand craft, marshmellow guns, rocket launching, bbq yummy food, water balloon games, stick game, volleyball, water slide, turkey dinner, and a very neat video of memories!

Women of Steel Triathlon

What a beautiful sunny day Sat May 21st ending up being. I was a little worried because it hadn't stopped raining since the previous Saturday. Makes training outside a little more difficult, that and Jeff was out of town. I figured oh well... it is what it is at that point in the training, or lack thereof. (Bronchitis 7 times since August with 2 of those being in the last 2 months, makes training nonexistent) But bronchitis is in the past... never to get again:)
The water was very warm luckily, but I wasn't so happy with my swim time since I caught up to the person in front of me within the first length. Plus I couldn't pass her until the last lap.
The hills were not my favorite... next time I should train for whatever the course is don't you think:) The hills made for difficult recovery.
During my run, the first mile was all uphill. I think my first mile time was 11:45... but I made up for it a little in the last two miles finishing with a 27 minute something second run time which I am happy about!
My official time was 1 hr 27 minutes
It was fun having a friend from my ward there and my forever triathlon buddy Kerri Ann. Felt just like old times. Too bad she lives in another state. Good memories indeed.
I have no camera so here is a picture I stole from KB.
