Christmas Craft

Aunt Kamala helped all the kids make a cute reindeer out of their hands and feet! IT was such a fun activity considering the rainy weather outside! What a fun memory and a great tradition Kamala should do every year:)

Motorcycle Rides

They loved taking their turn riding Grandpa Don's motorcycle!

Porter's kindergarten Christmas Party

Porter was quite excited to have mommy, Jarom, and baby sister come to his Christmas Party at school. They got to eat yummy snacks and watch Charlie Brown christmas. Jarom thought it was sooo cool to sit next to brother and pretend he was at school too. Then we headed to Seth's class to see their Christmas party! I figured since I can't help in their classrooms this year at least I could go to the activities where the younger siblings are welcome!

Christmas at Dad & Lorie's

We were able to go down the Saturday before Christmas and stay the night with Lorie (dad was at the BYU game in Vegas with Aaron). The kids enjoyed going to Grandma Lorie's church and even got quite the gift from the primary teacher. We had the traditional big ham and turkey dinner with the yummy red cabbage. We opened presents- the kids can't wait to try out their remote control cars! We ate rice almonde and Austin was lucky enough to find the almond and win a prize! We played the grandkids favorite(and should I say us kids too) BINGO. It was better this year as the kids are getting older and able to follow along easier. What a fun time we had- we love the danish Christensen traditions!!

Kaymie's Blessing Day

Seth's Party

I can't believe we have a SEVEN year old! Wow crazy! He just couldn't wait for his party and loved his real football, cowboy boots, spiderman kite, and $20! Thanks everyone for sharing in his big day! Do you like the picture of Jarom blowing out the candles? I had to light them a few times so Seth could blow them out.

Polar Express

For Christmas this year Jeff's mom took all the kids and Grandkids to the polar express train ride! We had a blast despite the freezing weather. The kids enjoyed the hot chocolate and yummy cookies, singing carols, following along to the story, visiting the North pole, and seeing SANTA! What a fun memory we had all together!

Kaymie 3 weeks picture collage

Can you tell a difference?

Before picture
(Kaymie is just an added bonus to the purpose of me posting this picture)

The new me-- Jeff thinks I am hot and is loving my look. I've never gone dark before so it is taking some getting use to! Thanks to my sweet sister n law for doing it for me! It's kind of hard to tell in pictures but the red is still there, with some dark brown weaved in.

Do you like it?

The passing of Elder Wirthlin

I was so sad to hear that he passed away, but wow to live such an incredible life to the age of 91! I bet he is so happy to be with his beautiful wife again. I absolutely love loved his last talk from conference on laughing with life. I have read it a few times since it came out in the Ensign and Jeff and I have even read it together. So I have had several moments where I have had to put his advice into practice. Here is a picture of one of them.

Jarom strung the ENTIRE roll of wrapping paper thru the house. We had a good laugh at that one!
Here is another... don't try it at home.

I was in a hurry to get dinner in the oven before I picked the kids us from school. Later I heard the explosion and was able to get the rest of them out before they added to my funfetti decorated oven. Note to self- next time poke the potato's before you put them in the oven.

Secret Santa

So Porter's school has a secret Santa shop and he has been saving his pennies. Well today he convinced me to let him take his money to buy stuff so I helped him fill out the form of who to buy for and what the budgeted amount was! When I picked him up from school, the first thing he said when I asked how his day was, was "I bought me a lizard!" I had to laugh... ok so he is five and doesn't quite get that it is Christmas and you don't buy for yourself. BUT I had to give him credit because he did buy his brothers both a little gaget and another gaget to share... SO it must of been with his leftover money right HAHAHA. We are really trying to teach our kids about giving, especially as they get older. Porter got something for his brothers at the grocery store the other day and already told them what it is. Oh it sure makes me laugh,,, but I love the excitement in their eyes when they pick it out, when they wrap it, and when they tell them what it is:)

The love of my life

So I woke up from my nap and snuggled into Jeffs arms. After a few minutes I could tell something was on his mind and when I asked him he told me to go look on the computer. So of course I did and I found his practice tests for his test he has been diligently studying for since before Kaymie was born. BUT then I found this sweet letter and knew that this was what he was referring to...
Mary,
Since hearing about Sister Conway’s passing, all I can think of is how much I love you. For some reason, it has hit me really hard….my feelings of sadness for them, and also, how very much I truly love you.
How grateful I am that you’re my sweetheart. I just looked at you from the kitchen as you were holding Kaymie on the couch, with tender feelings of love welling up inside me.
I couldn’t imagine losing you, and pray that the Lord will let us grow old together, if it is His will. If for some reason it were not His will, how grateful I am for the knowledge we possess that we are sealed together forever.
I love you sweetie. I pray that I can continue to grow in how I show you that love.
ALL my love,
Jeff
Oh how I love this man! It's amazing how death brings you closer and brings to the surface the important things in life. We pray for comfort for the Conway family and feel blessed this day that we have eachother and are healthy. I hope Jeff doesn't mind me sharing this letter- I guess if he does I will be erasing this post, so if you are a lucky one to read it while it still exists, you get a piece of my wonderful hubby who is such a romantic with such a sweet tender heart! I love you babe.

Random Pictures

Here are some pictures over the last few weeks. I just love my kids:) They are sooooo cute for sure!!

Thanksgiving Day

We had a wonderful day with all of Jeff's family here at our house. Thanks for all the much needed help preparing the turkey (I must admit I have never made a turkey and therefore watched my sister n law show me how- so now I can do it :) if only I had it in me to touch the turkey... yes I never even touched the turkey, oh wait yes I did, hehe after it was cooked LOL) The food was very delicious and the company was fantastic! Every time we get together we especially feel the void of Turk being gone, but have lots of sweet memories to dwell on. We enjoyed a few games together filled with lots of laughter and fun. The kids were PERFECT and made for an even more blissful day, they sure enjoyed playing and just being together as cousins. I only took one picture- ughh so here it is of Jeff and Rog peeling the potatoes!

Oh to be running again!!!

This is really great news that I can run again, just ask my husband LOL. I love how I feel when I run and how it lifts my spirits, helps me eat better, and how happy I am. I injured my foot a few weeks ago, yes pretty silly considering all I could do at 2 1/2 weeks post partum is walk... but somehow I managed to strain my ligament in my foot (the peroneus longus and brevis in case you were wondering haha) I could barely walk for a few weeks and by the end of the day it hurt so bad. I went to Dr. Sam and he did his pressure point magic and ta duh after two treatments I was able to run!!! I love it! Hopefully running will help me loose this baby weight! Anyone wanna go for a run with me?

Fun 24 hours

So I picked Seth up from a friends house and we headed down to mesa. Seth didn't know where we were headed on this special mommy date, or did he know that I had his suitcase packed in the back. We had traveled almost an hour all the while him patiently guessing where we were going. We had some neat talks and some special bonding time (thanks Kaymie for staying asleep). We stopped at my Aunt Carol's for a visit so she could see Kaymie- thanks Carol for a vun visit, I sure enjoyed our visiting. Seth enjoyed playing with the dog in the backyard- playing catch and telling him to sit and roll over. Then we headed to Stacie's where Seth was so excited to play with the cousins. They had a blast playing basketball, Wii, and walkie talkies, and whatever else they did downstairs. Kam came over and her and Stacie kissed Kaymie to pieces. Kaymie had a great night going about 7 hours before I woke her to eat and then another 4. We enjoyed our quiet time while everyone went to church. It was a short visit but we loved it nonetheless. Sorry no pictures! And thanks to my DH for watching the other two boys!
