Can you believe it, we really have a pet... I can't believe it- I'm having a baby what in the nation are we getting a pet for???
So the boys came home from the neighbors and asked if they could have chocolate- I told them no they were grounded from sugar. No chocolate the guinea pig they said. I told them we would talk to daddy about it. The rest of the day that's all they talked about. Jeff and I decided they could, since they have been begging for a pet forEVER and hey this one would be free:) Jeff talked to our neighbor friend and then told the boys that maybe we could get it Sat. Yesterday in walks the boys carrying the cage, food, and shavings!!! Now all I hear is oh chocolate needs more water, mom can I feed him an apple, etc... They are absolutely thrilled with this new pet. I told Jeff it is all his and the boys and the cage better get cleaned often! We haven't gotten it out to hold it yet- am I a mean mom or what- I said daddy has to help you! Heck I'm having a baby, I don't want to deal with another thing. I would post a picture of the cute little guy (although we don't know if it is a boy or girl and either did the owner LOL) but the camera is packed in my hospital bag :)

Thanks Mary! They did look very cute indeed...and yes, it is that time of year!!!! UGH! Congratulations on your new pet!!! I am getting QUITE excited to see your newest addition, SHE needs to make her apperance.

You are a way nicer mom than me. That is a good pet to have, if only they didn't smell!
P.S. Today is the 10th and that was the day I picked for the baby so could you hurry it up a little!

Hey pets are funnnn....we have too many and we are not getting any more...are you going to the reunion this week? What's the first thing you are going to...I'm trying to figure out what I'm going to attend.
I just read that you are due wednesday...so my guess is that you might not go this weekend...best wishes though.
Congrats... she is so beautiful! How nice not to be pregnant anymore, eh? BTW, Maren had the greatest tip for playing with small pets... take them out in a dry bathtub for the kids to play with them and hold them... then wash away the crumbs when they're done :)
