Yep you guessed it...
BABY number 4 is on the way in the Shumway family, due October 15th. We are really excited! Once we told the boys, Seth has spread the word :) I am so glad that I am finally have minutes during the day that I feel somewhat ok. Jeff and I have a bet of what it will be...boy or girl, time will tell who wins!

Happy Birthday Jarom

Wow I can't believe my little guy is already 2!!! HE is such a joy to our family and such a fun spirit to have around. He is continually making us laugh. He is pretty proud of himself that he can now make his basketball in a 6 foot hoop like the older boys. He loves ball and would play all day! He loves having a cheering crowd watching him make his baskets. I love that he is talking more and everyday says new funny things. He even says Seth and Porter (in his own little way). We sure love this kid!

Run Baby Run
So yesterday I ran for the first time OUTSIDE in a long time and I just have to say it was incredible! Running on the treadmill just doesn't compare to running outside, but at least I have the treadmill and was able to run all winter. Yeah for Spring! My triathlon training buddy ran with me and we ran about 3.4 miles. My only complaint was the hills, and well it was quite windy, but I will take it over the treadmill. I am excited the weather is nice enough to run outside!

Happy Birthday Turk & Happy Easter

Grandpa Turk's birthday fell on Easter Sunday this year... he would of been 65 years old. We sure miss him, but love thinking back on the wonderful memories we have of him. I would ask the kids why we celebrate Easter and Porter would tell me it's because of Grandpa's birthday, needless to say we had to set straight his confused mind. The boys hid eggs in the house all week and were very anxious for the real deal. They begged to color eggs and enjoyed every minute of it. I think they already ate all 2 dozen hard boiled eggs, I guess there's nothing like eating a colored egg. We had a wonderful day, rejoicing in what the Savior did for us and how He made it possible for us to see and be with Grandpa Turk again!

Mom and Don's Wedding
I was going to wait until I posted pictures to write about the wonderful weekend, but well I figured out I don't have any pictures and will have to wait until we get them from the photographer. I left Friday, all by myself (what a peaceful drive, other than bad traffic), and had a girls night with mom the night before her wedding. We got pedicures, went out to dinner at Mongolian Grill, and came back to Stacie's for dessert. Most of her sisters were able to join us from dinner on and we had such a blast :) Jeff attempted to bring the boys down that night since the freeway was closing, but got frustrated in traffic (45 min into the drive) and turned around and went home. He left early Sat morning and came thru another way, I was very glad they made it and in plenty of time to get everyone ready. The morning of the wedding, we did moms makeup and had her all done up- she looked absolutely beautiful. There were lots of friends and family that came to the sealing, and it all turned out great. WE had amazing steak sandwiches at the luncheon at Stacie's afterwards and it was fun to visit with all of the family and friends. We enjoyed getting to know Suzie and Alan (Don's son) and are so glad to have Don in the family. He is a very nice guy that treats mom like a queen. The boys say, we are so lucky to have 3 grandpa's! Congrats Mom and Don!

I'm addicted
to COUPON SENSE! I love the savings I get, which is usually about 85%. I love getting all of the FREE stuff- a few of the free things I have gotten since I joined (about a month ago) granola bars, cereal, bacon, Dole salad kits, and lots more. Plus now I am getting FREE newspapers ( a sweet deal I totally lucked out on, thanks Trista)! I love it and the savings it brings! Today I spent $65 and saved $146 and that was getting several things that I didn't have coupons for, just getting them because they sounded good! My pantry is so stocked, I am set for a good long while!

Mom's Mingle Shower

We had so much fun all being together and having an unshower before mom gets married. She had a great turnout with lots of friends and of course the food was great! It was neat sharing the time just the girls. Just days away until the wedding on the 15th when we officially welcome Don into the family. Doesn't mom look so happy and beautiful!Wednesday, February 20, 2008
Jeff is still sick
This is day 6 that he has fever of 104! He is so miserable and sick it is sad to see him like this. Thank goodness he has good guys that have been able to cover for him at the carwash. Jarom has already had it so I pray that the rest of us don't get it! Seth was so cute this morning... as soon as he got in the carpool car he had them call me on speaker so they all could sing happy birthday. It made my day that he was so thoughtful. I guess I am ordering takeout tonight! :)

So...
Jeff finally hooked up our "new to us computer" and we have sound! It is amazing to be able to hear again. However, he has not been able to find my photo cd to install my pictures ughhhh. I have some cute to pictures to add when that happens... We had a few inches of snow yesterday that was just beautiful, but melted by the end of the day and made a great carwash day today (the best yet!) I really enjoyed our stake conference this past weekend, especially the Sat adult session- this that because there were no kids to struggle with or was it because the session was actually better, hmmm but it is that way every year. Anyway, the adult session had the theme of A Change of Heart. It was so spiritually uplifting and made us really want to do and be better. Then when we came home, we watching Turk's (Jeffs dad who passed away unexpectantly two years ago this month) funeral tape. It was neat because we felt such peace and comfort, instead of pure saddness. For FHE yesterday we had a lesson on the qualities that Turk had and how we can apply them to our lives. He was such an easy going guy, always giving compliments, the life of the party, so fun to be around, full of charity towards everyone, always making others day (even if it is the waitress who he tipped extra high), and just how he lived life to the fullest. We love and miss that guy and want our kids to remember him and how much he loves and adores them. That's all for now.
